How I Feed Sesame Seeds to My Dogs

All these seeds in their diet seeds will be very nutritious and healthy for your dog, you need to first grind the seeds into a powder or keep them overnight immersed in water.

One of the easiest way to ferment the seeds:

  • Ingredients:
  • 20 oz of water
  • 1 lb of sesame seeds
  • 3 tbsp of sea salt


Now you can start with making a brine for the fermentation. This can be done when you dissolve the sea salt into the water you have got in the bowl. You don’t have to worry about feeding excess salt to your dog, as the brine you have made is what the bacteria likes to eat and will consume it while fermenting the seeds.

Add the seeds which are raw in the bowl. Now submerge the seeds in the brine completely. You need it to rest for 24 hours.

After 24 hours of soaking, drain the water and add the seeds which you have now are fermented seeds. You can add this to your dog’s food or veg mix.

There is another easier way to ferment seeds. What you need to do is to add the seeds to vegetables and let it ferment. The recipe is given below.

The other process of adding seeds to your dog’s diet is to grind them in a mixer and add them into a bowl of vegetables which is also pureed. Preparing a vegetable mixture is very easy. You just need to purchase two bunches of all vegetables your dogs can eat. Now you can blend them into a puree, you can transfer the mix to the containers and freeze them.

2 cups of garbanzo bean flour or normal flour

1 egg (or 1 tablespoon flax meal mixed with 3 tablespoons of water and allowed to set)

¼ cup dried parsley

1 cup sesame seeds

1 6-ounce can of tuna packed in water
