Pets of the Homeless needs
volunteers and pet food

Huge rise in homeless people and animalsAS the economy pushes more people into homelessness and poverty the need for pet food is greater than ever. Animal shelters are full of pets that have been forfeited due to the cost of pet food and medical care or the “no pets allowed” rental housing rules. Homeless shelters will not allow pets inside. Many of the homeless will stay on the streets in order to keep their companion pets.

The charity Feeding Pets of the Homeless needs volunteers who will set up a collection site at their business and then work with a food bank, food pantry or soup kitchen that will give out the pet food to the homeless and poor. Feeding Pets of the Homeless has a public relations program that will show participants exactly how to start. Your participation could result in new customers and higher profits in 2009 for your business.

The need is so great that the charity is offering memberships at no cost or a small donation to cover costs. You only need to contact the charity with your business name, address, phone, and a contact name, or go to the website to join at http://www.petsofhomeless.com/. We will email you the step-by-step program so that you can start immediately and we will mail you five decals of our logo to adhere to a pet food collection container. And you’ll receive a few flyers along with the decals to publicize your business as a collection site. If you need help finding a food bank or soup kitchen to work with, we’ll assist you to find a good group. The need for pet food is growing daily.

Your participation is vital to the pets of the homeless. And your involvement will provide you with an opportunity to let your community know who and where you are located. We look forward to adding you to our list of respected collection sites on our website. Please call or email us with any questions.
