Endal achieves massive
4000th guest appearance

ON July 29, Canine Partner Endal officially opened the Hampshire Council show stand at the New Forest show. Not to much to write home about on its own, but this was Endal's 4000th guest appearance in a career that has spanned well over 12 years as an assistance dog and very faithful companion to Gulf war veteran Allen Parton.
Endal, ably accompanied by his best friend, golden retriever Ikea, pulled the ribbon to offically open the stand on the start of the three-day event. Allen said: "It was a proud moment of our partnership to reach such an achievment. With the obligatory bank of film crews and reporters in tow, Endal's every move was followed as he duly performed his duties. It was as if he knew the significance of this special event, his head and tail held high and a real spring in his step."
Both Endal and Ikea showed off their expert skills to an enthralled audience but it was Endal's displays of his wicked sense of humour that generated most laughs from the crowds.
"Over the years I have kept every single newspaper, magazine or book from around the globe in which Endal has featured, which completely fills the garage and every other spare nook and cranny in the house" proudly stated Allen. "But today is going to be one of those moments I'll never forget, Endal has not only worked his socks off for me but he has also performed a very important PR role in raising the awareness of the value of animals in our lives ... another success I think. We are about to embark on producing a book about Endal so a busy time ahead especially since EJ (Endal Junior) became a member of our household - he keeps us all on the go."
