Memory Paw pendant

PUPPY Paws Inc, producer of jewellery for people who love animals, has recently introduced its new creation - the Memory Paw pendant.

The memory pendant was created after a brainstorm session with Deb Chebatoris from Chartiers Custom Pet Cremation Inc (CCPC), also of Bridgeville, explained Pamela Meltzer, president of Puppy Paws Inc.

The two women met after Ms Meltzer relocated to Bridgeville, PA last fall and joined the local area Chamber of Commerce. Chamber member Deb Chebatoris reached out immediately, sensing a potential business relationship. Ms Chebatoris explained how “many of her families have a strong desire to ‘hold the essence’ of their beloved pets close to their hearts.”

She requested a Puppy Paw pendant with a closed back, able to hold some pet cremains. The result of that request is the Memory Paw. The paw measures close to the size of a penny in circumference and can hold a small amount of pet cremains. The cremains are sealed in place with resin enamel. The enamels can be transparent or mixed to offer a wide variety of opaque colors. Only one Memory Paw can be created by Puppy Paws at a time, to ensure that absolutely no cremains are mixed up or accidentally misplaced. Any cremains not sealed in the pendant are returned to the owner for safe keeping. The back of the pendant is flat for engraving, which is done at no cost.

Puppy Paws Memory Paw pendants are available in sterling silver and 14k gold. They retail for $99.00 in sterling silver and $249.00 in 14k white or yellow gold. The retail price includes a simple 18” chain. They are often accented with gemstones or crystals that represent the dog or cat’s birth month. For rescue pets the actual birth date is not necessary because Puppy Paws believes that rescue pets are ‘re-born’ once they go home with their forever family. The month they go home offers them an entirely new life, thus a new birth month.
