Naturopathic veterinarians
very difficult to locate

Hello,
PLEASE can you send me a list of veterinarians or vet clinics practising herbal or holistic medicine anywhere in Ireland. - Marion

Hello Marion,
AFTER an extensive search on the internet I have found only one (which of course does not mean there are no more). That one is:
Tom Farrington MVB MRCVS VetLFHom, Allswell, Barley Hill East, Rosscarbery, Co.Cork. Tel 00 353 23 48811 (Local 023 48811), Fax 00 353 23 48805 (Local 023 48805). e-mail: alternanimalcare@eircom.net or homeopet@eircom.net.

If this one is too far from where you live, then perhaps you could email him - he may be able to provide you with an address nearer to your area.

I was advised also that there is a website that gives some information on veterinarians that practice various alternative modalities in the UK, but some reports from readers say they were able to bring up a login box only and for others there was only a server error, so if any readers know of a website or database specifically listing naturopathic or homeopathic veterinary practitioners in the UK, please email me with the information.

For USA pet owners who prefer natural remedies where possible, a visit to www.ahvma.org, website of the American Holistic Veterinary Health Association, will provide you with the address and phone number of the nearest holistic vet to your place of residence. Also, another site that is helpful is http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/vetlist.htm#a. - Ed
