Barkitecture event unites
community businesses

First kennel entry
The first entry received in the Barkitecture event of the year.
THE Young-Williams Animal Center of Knoxville, Tennessee, will be hosting its Premier Gala Event, Barkitecture, at the Young-Williams Animal Center on May 12, 2007.

This exciting event will benefit the spay-neuter efforts of the center and assist unwanted or lost animals in Knox County. Centered around a three-to-four-week display of one-of-a-kind dog and cat houses in First Tennessee Bank locations, this event culminates with a gala reception and auction, showcasing the extraordinary work of East Tennessee architects and builders.

The purpose of the show is to generate financial support and public awareness for Young-Williams Animal Center efforts in spaying and neutering and educating the public on proper care of their animals, while exemplifying the very best of East Tennessee architects and builders.

The Young-Williams Animal Center requests that East Tennessee architects and home builders design, build and donate dog or cat houses for display within First Tennessee Bank locations in Spring of 2007. After the display, all houses will be available for auction at the gala dinner held at Young-Williams Animal Center. This upscale gala finale will feature an evening of cocktails and dinner with event attendees bidding on the houses in a live auction and other silent auction items.

The Young-Williams Animal Center is a respected animal welfare organization which provides services to over 16,000 animals annually. The Young-Williams Animal Center is committed to the prevention of cruelty, abuse and neglect of animals in Knoxville and the state of Tennessee.

The First Tennessee Bank is committed to Tennessee's communities. In Knox County alone, hundreds of First Tennessee employees donate thousands of hours of service to non-profit organisations each year. If community support is important to you, First Tennessee hopes that you'll remember them for all your financial needs.
