Letters to the Editor:

Praise for Animals Asia

Hello,
I received your email regards the "pet trade" in Asia. Thought you may be interested to see what is actually happening in and around China. This organization has done incredible work, and will continue to do so.

Maybe you should forward your concerns to Jill Robinson, the founder of Animals Asia, and swop information. This is an organization that is not scared to air the real horrors of what is happening in the markets and pet farms. They are always willing to help and eager for help. - Tina Stewart

Hello Tina,
Thanks for the information - I am, however, in constant touch with Animals Asia and that is where a large amount of my information comes from. They certainly know what they are talking about and provide the pictures to prove it.

I have another letter concerning the dogs in China in this issue saying the claims are not true, so please read what this man has to say as the other side of the story. I have no doubt that there will be quite a few answers to his letter. - Ed.

Laughing dogs on CD

Hello,
Are there any dog laughter CDs out there? Our boarder would like to play such a CD in the kennels to soothe the dogs instead of just regular music. - Joell Smith

Hello Joell,
I am not sure about CDs with dogs laughing (perhaps a reader may help?) but I know you can get some with dogs singing (heard them some years ago but I am sure they are still around in some larger shops). Whether these would be more soothing than a classical lullaby or similar music is questionable I think! - Ed
