WITH the new Year of the Dog just beginning, Animals Asia needs your help. Our longtime friends and Dr. Dog partners, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), urgently needs your support.
Dog eating was abolished in the Philippines in 1998 under the Animal Welfare Act, however, there are now plans underway to legalise it in one province. If this resolution passes it will spell disaster not only for dogs in the Philippines, but right throughout Asia.

It is essential that once a step forward has been achieved, such as the Animal Welfare Act, there are no corresponding backward steps to negate all the effort put in by every available voluntary worker.
