Make sure dog eating stays
illegal in the Philippines

WITH the new Year of the Dog just beginning, Animals Asia needs your help. Our longtime friends and Dr. Dog partners, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), urgently needs your support.

Dog eating was abolished in the Philippines in 1998 under the Animal Welfare Act, however, there are now plans underway to legalise it in one province. If this resolution passes it will spell disaster not only for dogs in the Philippines, but right throughout Asia.

Please visit the AnimalsAsia website: http://www.animalsasia.org/index.php?module=3&menupos=8&lg=en where you will find information on how and where to send your protest letter. Dogs in Asia desperately need your voice - please, please take the time to write a letter. We believe that with enough letters this horrendous resolution will be defeated.

This very sincere request comes to you personally from Jill Robinson MBE, Founder and CEO of Animals Asia Foundation. It is essential that once a step forward has been achieved, such as the Animal Welfare Act, there are no corresponding backward steps to negate all the effort put in by every available voluntary worker. Please sign the petition and register your objection to any suggestion of establishing a dog-eating province in the Philippines. Help keep our Pacific Islands on a path of progress.
