Canine pin-up becomes
2006 calendar 'hunk'

ENDAL the Labrador has become a national pin-up, after being selected from hundreds of fellow canines, to feature in a unique 2006 Calendar as August's Hunk of the Month!

The well-known internet based Labrador Forums, owned by Julie and Dave Burley, hosted a competition earlier this year, after it was decided to produce a canine calendar starring none other than the "Labrador next door"! Open to any Labrador owners from around the world, the entries came flooding in - truly huge numbers. Soon the on-line galleries filled with photos of these treasured pooches all hoping to star in this very unique calendar where the stars were also the members' cherished hounds!

Throughout the year an on-line photo competition gallery was created, whereby hundreds of members then entered portraits of their Labradors in a variety of poses hoping that they would become one of the select few to feature in the calendar. The photos for the calendar were narrowed down from galleries containing 4500-plus images, and then selected down to 380-plus and finally, after much deliberation, the final 49 photos were chosen.

Labrador Forums (www.labradorforums.co.uk) is the UK's biggest Labrador on-line community, which was set up in August 2004 is an on-line website with nearly 3000 members from all around the world. It features forums galore and is full of friendly chat, helpful advice and much, much more - all for the Labrador owner.
