Working our way through
British transport systems

Waiting for the bus
Allen and Endal have been waiting at the bus-stop and it arrives at the scheduled time.
ALLEN Parton and service partner Endal have just done a photo shoot with First Bus Group, showing accessibility on the buses for wheelchair users. Endal, not wanting to be in the shadow, took Allen's wallet out of his wheelchair bag and proceeded to pay for his and Allen's fare and then he collected the ticket from the machine.

"Next he will be telling the driver where we are going to," said Allen, "and I am sure he will be pushing the stop button as well, when we are near our stop!"

Time to pay
Endal leads the way up the bus ramp.
"Seriously though, it was nice to be able to promote what is being done in rural communities with respect to accessible transport.

"It not only benefits wheelchair users but also the older residents of the village and people with shopping trolleys and push-chairs.

"Closer to my heart though, it also means that older dogs don't have to clamber up and down steep stairs to get on and off the bus."

All these improvements mean that Endal and Allen "have ticket, will travel".

Ticket for one please
Endal takes Allen's wallet from the bag and pays for their bus tickets.

Comfortable ride had by all
Allen and Endal can now make themselves comfortable for the bus trip ahead.
