Lurchers in need of homes

Hello,
WE are a small, independent charity that rescues and rehabilitates lurchers and greyhounds.

We have recently rescued a young lurcher bitch with horrific wounds inflicted to her right back leg. Within two days of rescuing her she was rushed into the vets for an emergency amputation.

This young girl has shown so much courage and is so loving and gentle. We are looking for publicity for her, not only to show the extreme cruelty she has suffered but also to raise much needed funds for vet bills throughout her rehabilitation.

If anyone would like to help with donations or time, please do contact me at this email address - eglr@btinternet.com. For further information on our organisation and what we do for the lurchers you can view our website at: http://www.lurcher.org.uk/ - Liz

I hope to bring readers some photos and the story of this brave lurcher in our next issue, along with some more information on how you can help with her ongoing care. - Ed

Magazine for dog lovers

Hello,
I AM Shweta, from Delhi, India. I represent a magazine called Dogs and Pups - a bi-monthly magazine. We are a complete magazine for dog lovers and people who have compassion for them.

The magazine is very informative as it covers a wide spectrum on the wellbeing of one's canine friend. We have articles on health, training, grooming, nutrition etc - information which is very vital for daily responsible ownership.

Our website is - www.dogsandpups.net

Our objective is to promote awareness of how people can best take care of their pets. I have seen your magazine and it sure looks great. We would like to send you a copy of ours. I am looking forward to a reply from you. - Shweta, Dogs and Pups magazine.

I will look forward to receiving a copy of the magazine - your objectives are very similar to ours and the more people and organisations that are working towards better health and welfare for our companions, the better it will be for them. - Ed
