Heart health:

Herbals offer huge benefits

IN this issue I will discuss the importance of using powerful herbal formulae to heal your dogs heart. When producing pharmaceutical drugs, drug companies isolate single properties from a plant, making it extremely potent.

What is wrong with this, you say? Well, plants are made up of multiple different properties for a reason - each property of that plant has a job and a nutritional value. When you play God and isolate one specific property, it becomes very potent and at the same time becomes very toxic.

An example is the drug Digitalis, a widely used pharmaceutical prescribed for the heart (and sold under numerous names). It is derived from the plant Digitalis lanata. It is made by isolating a single property the scientists believe is most beneficial and by doing so makes it extremely strong and extremely toxic.

Yes, pharmaceutical drugs such as Digitalis may help the heart function, but they will NEVER heal the heart. They can also cause other terminal conditions by compromising the liver and kidneys.

Many people ask: If herbs work, why do more drug companies not sell or recommend them? The answer is quite simple and unfortunate. Simply put, you cannot put a patent on Mother Nature. Before patented medicine came around people used herbs the proper way and saw great results. Since herbs cannot be patented the drug companies do not feel it is a worthwhile investment.

The heart herbs I will be talking about have been used for hundreds, if not thousands, of years by different cultures for healing all kinds of heart ailments. There are many current studies that have been done on these herbs showing their great benefits.

When looking for herbal remedies I recommend using a tinctured form. This is when herbs are put in an extracting liquid and all the properties are pulled out of the plant making all the healing properties of the plant easily absorbable for your pet.

Below are some of the most powerful herbal heart medicines known:

Hawthorne (berry, flower and leaf) - hawthorne contains potent phytochemicals which have been found in medical studies to:
• Increase the contractions of the heart muscle
• Improve left ventricle ejection fraction
• Reduce peripheral vascular resistance by dilating the blood vessels
• Be a mild diuretic
• Powerful antioxidant

Over-all, hawthorne helps the heart pump more easily, but with more force and protects heart cells from future damage. This herb is considered to be the user-friendly Digitalis.

Cactus Grandiflorus stem and flower - contains powerful cardiac glycosides which increase the hearts pumping force without increasing the hearts oxygen demand. This makes the heart a more efficient pump and able to meet the demands of the circulatory system. I like to think Mother Nature created this herb specifically for congestive heart failure.

Motherwort herb - used in Asia for centuries as an all around heart tonic these are a few benefits:
• Helps with cardiac arrhythmia and tachycardia
• A strong influence over the regularity of the heart
• Strengthens weakness of the heart

Red Clover blossoms - this herb has proven itself to be a potent heart and circulatory tonic. Red clover thins the blood and helps maintain elasticity of the heart's large arteries.

Cayenne (Habanero) and Ginger - two of the worlds best known circulation stimulants. Cayenne rushes instantly to the heart and then works its way out to the rest of the body; ginger does the opposite, going to the extremities first, then working its way back to the heart. They go hand in hand as the most powerful circulation stimulants.

Be careful when buying herbal tinctures, most companies are out to make a profit, with no interest in healing. Their tinctures are weak and have practically no medicinal value at all. The strongest herbal tincture I have been able to find in a health store was labelled 1:1. This means it was produced using one part of herbs to one part of extracting liquid 50%-50%. I believe this is not nearly strong enough to be effective.

Always choose a formula that is made with either organic or wild harvested herbs. It has been shown that organically grown and wild harvested herbs can be up to 10 times more potent than conventionally grown plants and they do not contain toxic chemicals such as herbicides and pesticides.

Our Canine Heart Tonic is formulated specifically for dogs and contains all of the above mentioned herbs in such high concentrations that many dog owners swear it has brought their dogs back to life.

Many dog owners have successfully replaced their dogs' toxic pharmaceutical drugs with this safe and extremely effective heart healing formula. Start healing your dog's heart today.
