DOWNTOWN Doghouse and Latka's Treats jointly hosted the second annual Doggy Halloween Party on Sunday, October 31, 2004, from 12 noon until 6pm at the Downtown Doghouse, 239 West 18th Street, Manhattan.
There was be fun and treats for both dogs and their people. Dogs had the opportunity to play Bobbing for Hot Dogs; feast on a variety of gourmet snacks catered by Latka's Treats; and take home doggy bags filled with healthy snacks and dog food samples.
The Downtown Doghouse Halloween Party once again featured noted pet psychic, Donna Lozito. Visits with the psychic were at a discounted price of $20 for 15 minutes for this special night. Appointments could be made in advance for owners to find out what their pet really thinks.
Last year's Downtown Doghouse Doggy Halloween Party was featured in the New York Daily News as one of the "Top 31 Things to Do in New York on Halloween." This year, all dogs in costume were eligible to enter their names in a raffle for prizes, which was drawn at the end of the party. Two of the prizes were courtesy of Latka's Treats, and one, a free deluxe grooming package, was courtesy of Downtown Doghouse. The others will be provided by Wellness/Old Mother Hubbard.
