Safe kids and canines

Hello,
Are you interested in learning why the friendly puppy suddenly becomes a wild and vicious animal?

Are you interested in learning about behaviour imprinting that is causing even the golden retrievers, Labrador retrievers and Newfoundlands to become vicious?

Weed problems solved

Hi,
We have three dogs and I was wondering if you could tell me what type of substance would be safe in killing the weeds that are in our yard. I would rather let them grow than harm our girls. Thanks. - Heather

Hi Heather,
It depends how much of your yard has weeds. I always use boiling water - boil up the kettle and pour over them whenever I have a spare moment.

However, that is obviously not practical if you have a quarter acre or more of landscaping etc. I have only an average backyard and all I have to do is about a quarter of it that is paved with bricks.

However, I am sure one of the 'eco' shops will have a safe product. But remember though, that 'organic' and 'natural' are not necessarily safe - there are many plants and naturally occurring substances that are poisonous to animals. - Ed

Hello,
Thanks a lot about the info on the weeds. I never thought of boiling water and that is exactly what I need it for, between the bricks on my walkway! I will be sure to use your advice. Thanks again. - Heather
