THE P.A.W.S for Service Dogs Training Seminar event is a four-day seminar and will be held from January 29 to February 1, 2004 at the Sheraton Safari Hotel in Orlando, Florida (USA).
Last year's seminar in Delaware got a wonderful write-up in Teaching Dogs magazine (see "Report from the Service Dog Seminar" in the articles section of dogtrainingathome.com) and we are hoping for an even bigger turnout this year.
Registration information is available by clicking on the P.A.W.S for Service Dogs icon at workandplaydogs.com or by contacting me directly at susan.mann@sprintppi.com.
This event is sure to be a learning experience for everyone who comes along, as well as for their dogs when the new skills are put to the test at home. - Susan Mann, P.A.W.S for Service Dogs
Canine adoption
THERE are so many deserving and beautiful dogs out there needing homes that I want to bring you every issue some new websites where you can search out the dog that is perfect for you, and set the wheels in motion for the adoption.
Readers are invited to send in any websites they have found that feature homeless dogs wanting to get together with caring, loving people who have a spare corner in their home for a fur person.
If you want to adopt a dog the perfect place to start looking is in your local city pound. These dogs are usually kept for only a few days before destruction whether they are healthy or not. You could rescue a dog that really needs your help.
