The index in this book is a particularly comprehensive one - each canine picture is identified with his/her name, and a little information on the dog along with its identifying breed.
To start the book there are two pages of information from Rachael about how some of the photographs were devised and problems that had to be overcome. Darcy, the little guy on the left, surprised Rachael by running to safety between her feet rather than take his chances running away from two larger dogs.
